Rows, columns, leading zeros and text stay intact. No account needed for Free conversion.

Your data stays intact

Quoted commas, line breaks, Unicode and empty cells are preserved. Values are written as text without automatic number or formula inference.

Private files, connected history

Files are processed in an isolated worker with bounded resources. Signed-in users keep source and workbook together in Files. Share links require an eligible plan and your explicit action.

Common questions

What does CSV to Excel do?

It creates one XLSX workbook with one worksheet from your CSV rows and columns. Each source value is stored as text.

Does it change my original CSV?

No. The workbook is a new file linked to your source. Signed-in users keep both in Files under their retention policy; guest downloads remain available for 24 hours.

Are leading zeros preserved?

Yes. IDs, account numbers, postal codes and phone numbers remain text, so 001234 stays 001234.

What delimiters are supported?

Auto detection, comma, semicolon, tab and pipe. If detection is ambiguous, choose the separator explicitly. UTF-8 and UTF-8 with BOM are supported.

Are formulas executed?

No. Formula-like CSV values are written as literal text. No macros, external links or embedded objects are created.

Can I use the converted XLSX in Excel?

Yes. The output is a standard Excel-compatible workbook. From Files you can download, rename, delete or share it where your plan allows, or convert it to PDF.
