What changes in my document?
Dislify adds an invisible text layer to scanned PDF pages. The original page appearance, page count, dimensions and rotation are preserved. JPG/PNG scans become single-page PDFs with orientation normalized. Your original File is never overwritten.
Where does recognition run?
OCR runs on Dislify’s processing infrastructure. Documents and recognized text are not sent to an external OCR or AI service. Outputs follow your existing private storage, retention and sharing settings.
Which languages and documents work?
V1 recognizes printed English. Choose a static, unlocked PDF or a single-frame JPG/PNG scan up to 20 MB. Handwriting, passwords, interactive forms and automatic language detection are not supported. Clear, upright scans work best; always review recognition before relying on it.
What are the page and batch limits?
Free supports one source and up to 3 PDF pages. Pro supports up to 10 sources, 10 pages per PDF and 30 pages per batch. Unlimited supports up to 20 sources, 20 pages per PDF and 60 pages per batch. Pixel, output-size and processing-time limits also apply.
What happens to existing text?
Pages with an existing useful text layer are retained without another OCR overlay. This conservative check can skip a scanned page that already has a searchable heading. Already-searchable documents still produce a validated PDF copy. Blank pages are preserved and may contain no recognized text.
Can I process several documents?
Each selected source creates an independent searchable PDF. Successful files remain available if another source fails. Retry failed items only, or download successful results individually or in a ZIP up to 50 MB.
