How to convert an image

  1. Add a still JPG, PNG or WebP from your device, Files or a connected source.
  2. Choose a different output format. Use PNG or WebP to preserve transparency; JPG uses a white background.
  3. Process the file and download the converted copy. Review batch errors individually if a source already uses your chosen format.

Keep the details that matter

JPG uses quality 95 and composites transparency on white. PNG preserves transparency without reducing colors. PNG and transparent sources become lossless WebP; opaque JPG becomes high-quality WebP at quality 95. Conversion can increase file size.

EXIF orientation is applied to pixels, and accepted bounded color profiles normalize to sRGB. Camera, GPS, XMP and other source metadata are removed. Animated WebP and PNG are rejected. PNG sources above 8 bits per channel are not supported. Each source and output is limited to 50 MiB, 8,192 pixels per side and 20 million pixels, plus your plan limits.

Before you convert

Does conversion resize my image?

Dimensions remain the same after orientation is applied. Use Resize image separately, or combine steps in a reusable workflow.

Can I convert several images?

Pro and Unlimited support independent batches. Successful files stay available if another item fails; retry failed items or download successful outputs as a ZIP. An item already in the chosen format fails without creating a duplicate.

What happens to my original?

Your source is never overwritten. Conversion uses your stored File, and the new output follows normal ownership, downloads, sharing, storage and retention rules. Existing Files can be converted without uploading them again.
