Before you resize
Whole pixel dimensions from 1 to 8192, or percentages from 1 to 400. Each image uses its own proportions and oriented dimensions. Outputs are limited to 20 million pixels and 50 MiB, plus your plan limits. Upscaling creates more pixels without adding original detail.
Still JPG and PNG only. PNG transparency is preserved. Color profiles are normalized to sRGB; EXIF, GPS, XMP and other source metadata are removed. Resizing can increase file size. If the resulting dimensions match the original, no output is created.
Paid plans support independent batches with successful downloads, failed-item retry and a ZIP. Saved workflows can convert HEIC, resize, then compress, or resize before extracting text.
How to resize an image
- Add a still JPG or PNG from your device, Files or a connected source.
- Choose a width, height, bounding box or percentage. Dimensions use the image after camera orientation is applied.
- Process your selection, review the completed result and download the resized copy.
Questions about resizing
Will my image stretch?
No. A single dimension scales the other proportionally. A bounding box fits the image inside both limits while keeping its proportions; use Crop / rotate image to change the composition first.
Does a smaller image always mean a smaller file?
No. Resizing controls pixel dimensions, and encoding can increase file size. Use Compress image when your goal is a smaller download or a target number of bytes.
Can I resize a transparent PNG?
Yes. The result remains a PNG with transparency. JPG stays JPG. Convert the format separately if your next step needs WebP or another supported format.
